Hope to have some possible answers , moved the bus today from sitting for quite a while, shifted from 1 t0 2 , stopped and tried to reverse , felt like neutral, had to shut bus off for a momment , started back up and had reverse again , any ideas ? fluid is full , shiter cable is aligned, its in my 67 mci 5 , thnaks for any help

Did you push the E brake down. Did you wait for air to build up to release the E brake, Did you push down hard on the service brake before trying to move it and did it make a air release sound when you did. All goes before or the brakes will not release.

yes air was up , brakes released , felt like it was in neutral

Take the bus for a drive.

Sitting causes all manner of trouble that has no better explanation than:

"it was stuck"

If it is still misbehaving after a 100 mile work-out, then we have something to chew on.

I've had my trans do the same thing. Push D then back to R and all okay. Just like the R switch in the pad didn't make contact.
