Fees in that area are $10.00 a day $40.00 for 14 days or a $180.00 for the season,Dan used the 14 day @40.00 to come up with $2.83 a day you won't camp one day and just pay $2.83 but there are 14 day free areas past La Posa ,it is less than $1.00 a day if you do the long term for the season Sept till April

Sometimes the waiting in line to dump and fill with water can be boring lol and tempers can get the best of people
At least that shows they're trying to dump in the right place! :o

Sometimes it's better to ask for the weekly rate even if you are only staying a few days.
It's common here in the West for higher end RV parks and resorts to double the rates on the weekends it sucks they get away with doing it ,lol in Vegas you pay extra for a tree , grass or a end spot and the rates increase on the weekend
Better bring along grass and a tree. Passed by last summer.
Clifford is correct that nearly all get-away accomodations out here west jack rates Thursday - Saturday. Sunday - Wednesday is the time to go. That said, it is the opposite for big business centers where the the oppoiste is true. Rates high during the week, very low during the weekend to fill rooms. Very differerent depending on the location

Sad! We shy from busy-ness. A breath of fresh air as far as the word "mass" in the extreme NW with "mass" pertaining to nature's grandeur, wildlife, w/o human nor traffic although when red flag warnings go up for wild fire - even fresh air becomes a commodity. How many would if they could jump in a time machine & live earlier times?
There is a wonderful Oceanside RV parking area, one exit on the US101 north of Ventura, CA. It's called the Rincon parkway, but is actually the Pacific Coast Hiway. parking is along the curb, first come first serve. Inexpensive. The area is a huge coastal mountain, the 101 freeway, railroad tracks, Ricon Parkway and the beach. Nothing else there. The trick is, getting there tuesday or wednesday, because locals will park their rigs there in the middle of the week, lock their coach and come back for the weekend. My wife's favorite place, great to see the passenger trains zoom by, 15 feet from the waves, constant cool breezes, beautiful sunsets. Its a state or county park, just past the RV section are million dollar homes, Jack, oltrunt, lives in the area, I hope he'll chime in. lvmci...
stay away from that salt air if you have an older Eagle.🤣
lvmci is right it is a beautiful place to camp. I just checked availability for their (County Parks) 127 spaces and NONE are available until Oct 1 2022. For what it's worth here is the site for all the County parks.
