After owning my 1977 AMGeneral 10240B8 since 1993 (finished converting in 2000) I delivered it to the new owner in Seligman, Arizona this week. After using it for over 22 years, it was a sad. But got $25,000 for it. And in my wildest of dreams did I think I'd be jumping up and down getting $5.44 Diesel would ever occur to me.
Now will go and get my interior car for the KW motorhome which is a '93 Honda Del Sol. Excited about cruising in the truck. Good Luck, TomC
Good for you Tom. That is great!
:^
Tom,
Congrats. and for the clarification about toterhome vs super C. Isn't yours considered a Super C?
Yes you're correct-because it is a front engine truck with living behind. But the difference in ease of working on it is night and day-One of the reasons I'm glad the bus is gone.
Awesome Tom ! It must have been a hard decision I looked at your bus many times. :)
Congrats! I know from recent experience that it's a bittersweet day when you sell. All the best for a joyful time in the new ride.
Congrats Tom yep saw it up in Paruph Nevada rally years ago. We are at 1/2 of that right now but some day will let it go. Right now full timing and loving it. :^
I thought I saw that bus west of Seligman a few hours ago at the truck stop when I came through Seligman a few hours ago and thought TomC is nuts AZ in July but Seligman temps were not that bad in the 80's
An historical moment!
We all learned a lot via your experiences with that bus!
Thank you for sharing it all!
Happy coaching!

The new owner posted about it or just a photo of it? Don't have (or want) Facebook so I can't look from here.

To each his own but those F/B groups are really civil with good info and are monitored well by the person that started the group and they keep it on track, personal pages can get a little screwy at times with politics
Cliff, it depends. Some of them are quite....entertaining.😂

Last I heard I thought you were going to haul a Ford Fit. Should we assume it wouldn't fit? ;D ;D
Bob,
I think Fit is a Honda!
Finding parts for the 93 Honda Del Sol will be as challenging as finding bus parts.

It may be - my bad.
Either way it sounds like the Fit won't fit.
I'm still watching for a rolled Honda Pioneer 5000 that I can modify and carry in the center bay.

early Smartcar hauled at rear off the ground.
Honda del sol's are low to the ground and a short car. Collectors are loving them. Tom your a big guy, hope you can get in and out easily, my friends have a hard time getting in and out of the tbird. Some of the del sols had T style lift off roofs, i would think that would ease entry...
Better watch "Pillow Talk" before you buy something small.

I saw your X bus today about 2:30 parked at the KOA in Seligman AZ today on the way home
It'll be at Seligman for about 2 months. I'm not sure how he's going to move it.

If it were me I'd fire it up and DRIVE it!
Does it not still run and drive?
;D BK ;D
That's the thing about selling the bus-everything is operating perfectly. New starting batteries. Fresh oil change and service. It always seems that when it is perfect is when you sell it. Good Luck, TomC
So, it is running O.K.?
Sent you a P.M. a while back.
