Looking to increase engine cooling on my mci 8 have heard of a few people putting garden irrigation misters on the radiators any on ehave any input on what size to use , nozzle size? Am in southern california right now , is 100 degrees , running rather warm.

Have you done a search? If you go to the opening page of the BB, click on search on the toolbar, and type in "radiator cooling", or other pertinent phrase, you will find several related posts. HTH

The topic of misters on an MCI comes up on this and the other major bus boards at least once or twice every spring & summer. The general consensus is this:
Misters are a band-aid approach to solving a problem.
The stock cooling system on an MC-8 will work fine, providing:
It's in excellent condition. . .
All the rubber seals around the radiators are in place and in good condition. . .
The radiators have been hot-tanked and repaired professionally by a radiator shop specializing in commercial radiators.
The coolant mix is the proper proportion of coolant/water. (You could actually run up to 70/30 in S CA.)
The squirrel cage blowers are clean.
The squirrel cage blower drive belt is in good condition, and the air tensioner is operating properly.
You are running a stock 8V71 engine, or a stock 6V92.
Most importantly - the operator MUST watch the temperature gauge, and keep the engine in the optimum rpm range for best cooling. This means 1800 - 1900 rpm on a partial throttle when climbing a hill. Black exhaust smoke with no corresponding acceleration is a reciepe for disaster.
Downshift the transmission manually for best performance and optimum cooling.
