Well, actually this is a free year for me Nick. . . for the last year, I kept telling everyone I was 47, then I realized that it was 2006, which meant I was only 46, so that means this year is my free year, because I'm just a child of 47 again, ha ha.
Now, if I can just find some more green beer. . . .Christy
BTW, Nick, did you know that you sang that just slightly off key???? :D Or was that intentional ;). ;D Christy
Christy, it wasn't intentional.....Poor Nick.....he can't help it. LOL
Happy Birthday to those bus nuts that celebrate their birthday today on St. Patty's Day!
I also want to tell everyone that today is my Dad's birthday. Susan and I just came from spending time with him. He is in a local nursing home and doing really good for his age. He turned 85 today and pretty spry considering what he has gone thru in the last 4-5 years!
He has taught me many things through my life though he never went to high school. Goes to show you what common sense can really mean and do. He was a hard working man all his life and it has taken it's toll on him but still to this day he awakes every morning with a smile on his face. I wish I could say the same but I DO try! I find it really hard at times to smile or be happy due to the everyday troubles this world has grown to be.
So with that said, everyone take a moment and thank God for our freedom and our troops for keeping us safe, then take a moment and thank your parents for being who they are and try to remember the good things you shared! I know each one of you has at least one special moment in your childhood you would like to remember! You don't have to post it. Just sit back and daydream!
Happy Birthday.... Dad!
Your Son, Ace
Not to steal a thread, Happy Birthday Christy!!!!
You are a gem and have added much enjoyment to this board by your postings. Just keep the flow of good stories going. Thanks!
But Ace,
Weren't our parents a 'great generation'? Enjoy yours, mine are both gone! But appreciating them makes us closer to them and more like them.
You're a wonderful son and I'm sure that your dad is proud of you. I know I'm so pleased to see posts by someone so respectful.
Thanks,
TomNPat
