If the spicer 4 speed transmission is low on oil, will the clutch feel heavy and not engage. Trying to get information before going to help someone. Clutch won't engage to allow shifting into gear and if trying to start in gear won't disengage transmission. Thanks
Is the clutch properly adjusted?
Has the linkage been checked front to back for free play which might be keeping the clutch from fully disengaging?
I'm no expert, but the I believe that the 4106 had a dry clutch, so not sure what the oil level would have to do with the operation of the clutch.
Does it have a clutch assist system,??.( Also known as a "mouse trap ") Few know how to adjust one correctly..>>>Dan
Is this a new issue or something you inherited?
If the main input shaft on the transmission has seized on the pilot bearing in the fly wheel they won't disengage, even if the clutch work
