I trying to see what kinda coolant I need to use for my 1985 96-A3 coolant Displacement: 9.3L V8 and some I use straight coolant or mix with water
I would flush and fill with Peak final charge 50/50 coolant don't know what the capacity is for a 8-71 MCI.
Green?

Don't go by color alone anymore. Not all companies stick closely to a standard like many think they do.
Allaince brand from a FreightLiner Truck dealers 50/50 mix you will need about 20 gals cost around 9 bucks a gal it will be pink or green some antifreeze the colors tell what additives are in the antifreeze pink or red is usually a extend life antifreeze, just don't buy from Wal-Mart
I wouldn't put an OAT or HOAT in that system. ELC can attack gaskets and seals in older engines.
You need Nitrites to protect against cavitation.
Just use a Conventional coolant rated for Heavy Duty. It will likely be some shade of green, but as was mentioned, color isn't a good guide.
I would recommend using a premix, water quality is critical to coolant life and performance. If you have a coolant filter, install a new one without SCA as your coolant will be chemically correct and you don't want to overdose with SCA. Check it in a year and if it needs a boost, use a filter with an SCA charge.
With a dry liner 8v71 caviaition is not a problem ,the silca drop out is what you look for on the 8v71.If you take the time to read on the jug it will tell you if it meets the specs for the manufacture,me I have a Cummins and use only the Cummins antifreeze
