I learned a little in my first trip (100 miles )with the 75 mci. Air wipers are hard to get used to. $375 for 3/4 tank is hard to swallow.
When the blow off valve sticks open so you decided to let the air drop off completely to see if it will close shut down the engine first or you can't lol.
But we made it home and it was a pleasure to drive
Last week I was putting 130 gallons in my bus. A guy walked over to me and said he was glad he didn't have to pay my fuel bill. I told him I was glad I don't have to stop for gas when I go to Maine.
RainX will cause issues with air wipers. The solution causes more friction when wipers change direction. I noticed that wipers on cars make them noiser with Rainex several years ago. Always wondered why my wipers in my cars were always noiser.
Electric wipers only way to go. Never looked back. :^

Nope just bought them from Autex.com.About 7 years ago. They have direct replacements with individual nobs to control each one and three speeds. Not cheap $950.00 but well worth the money. Take out both old ones and put in the new ones. Use the same arms because those are an extra 140.00 each.You have a hot wire and a ground to hook up. they come wired up. Plus you can pull out a bunch of old leaky air lines that you won't need anymore.I tried to rebuild the air wipers and they just never worked right.
There used to be a general benchmark on the cost of keeping a bus operating - a buck a mile was the reference. Now, it is costing nearly a buck a mile just to push the thing down the road.
The recent in fuel prices sort of first time triggered a wake up call and ripped the blinders off how much it does cost over time. When you figure just the tire rotation to keep from running aged rubber, to the regular oil changes, and constant stuff needing fixing and replacing, insurance, tow service, camp/RV memberships, etc. I have to lie even more to my wife. not good.
