Many here pull a toad behind an 8v71 fine. Getting up to speed may take a bit longer and grinding up steep inclines may lose a bit of speed but folks get to their destinations.

Before turboing my 8V-71, I towed my '84 Mercedes 300D (3,750lbs) behind my AMGeneral transit bus with a 3 speed Allison V730. Only once did I get down to walking speed. Now with it turbo'd, no problems at all. Turboing the 8V-71 REALLY wakes it up. Good Luck, TomC

We've towed a 7000# full size Sierra Quadrasteer PU with camper shell & loaded with our OEM 671 200HP this way we don't have to stop and smell the roses as we can do that as we pass them by sslloowwllyy... Lol
