Those early MCI's were rather underrated.

Back when the drivers wore uniforms with a Greyhound hat. People dressed up to ride the bus. No Dometic roof air. Those were the days......
Great picture!

I'm sure a CUMMINS and ALLISON combo would snap in quite nicely. Didn't know they used IH engines.

Lol that was before Allison and the old Cummins was in infant stage ,the IH red diamond was a very popular military engine

Not long after that, they used the 4-71 Detroit, and air bag suspension in the 1957 Courier 96. And still had the scoop radiator air intake on the roof. I used to drive them in the 70s. They were a good solid car. A better bus than the subsequent MCi 1, 2, 3 and 4s. The MC5s were good buses again.

I think we all smile because it was back when a Ford F-150 did not have 3 TV screens in the dashboard, people didn't think you an idiot if you are not on FACEBOOK, and children didn't talk to you only if you can text. We were tougher back then. I once killed myself falling off those high metal jungle-jim monkey bars at the playground. My mom made me walk it off.

That's probably a slur on the hydrocarbon solids (but not 'plastic', really!) industry. Better clean up your language.

Must have taken some doing to get GM to sell the 4-71 to a competitor. Of course it was smart but GM was funny about that back then.
