I am bidding on 3 of those just for the engines and transmissions they won't go as cheap as one would think and the 15% buyers fee from Bar None sucks.Another CARB deal  they have to leave CA  what a waste some have new engines and transmissions,FWIW anybody bidding those are American made Neoplans no German parts

I went to take a look. Here are a couple pictures. ABout 20 on the block. They are old buses from SF MUNI, mileage around 475-525k. Yes, there are Cummings engines in them. If you are serious on bidding, I can go tomorrow to take a closer look for you Clifford.

Still, some have zero bids, most is around $600 now, sure to go up but there are so many, they surely will go for cheap. They look pretty clean underneath too, nothing major dripping on the ground.

thanks for the offer Don but I have someone there, what happens most of the time is some out fit from South America will end up buying the whole fleet lol those are luxury buses for some of those countries for local travel .I have asked with no answer yet "do the tires come with the sell or not it sucks when you get into leased tires and have to pay the lease off.The 2 with fresh engines and tranny will bring more they are 600 and the rest around 200 now

Is that the 4905 that you have the engine for out back?
You put that Cummins in a 4905, if itll fit ok. Might consider hydraulic engine mounts to absorb engine vibration. That reverser on a V731 eats 3 or 4 inches.

There is plenty of room you are not dealing with the worthless fan drive a foot long on the 8v71

ISC 8.9L 300hp 1150ft lbs of torque easy bumped to 400 hp and 1250 ft lbs of torque ,you can turn one to 2600 rpm with no problem those setting are in the perimeters in the ECM they also have a variable speed governor. One with a standard oil pan is 43 inches tall, with the bus oil pan you can get to 39 inches,They were real good little engines and popular in RV's .I can buy the engine and transmission for 1/2 of what the buses sold for but I wanted the bus with the harness, TPS and shifter pad that stuff adds up in hurry.I wasn't crazy about the retarder transmission in those though a exhaust brake would have been better for me

Some will pop up for the sale they pick out the best and try to sell the ones with proplems. You don't have to deal with those buyers on highway coaches they never try and buy those.Could be the highways coaches are harder to haul goats, chickens, hogs and people on the roofs who knows but they go for the transit and flat nose school buses at auctions. At the TNT auction in Vegas a couple of years back there was 30 flat nose Blue Bird up for auction a guy from down south bought all 30 and had the drivers there he didn't care about price he paid $3800 ea if they were bidding around 2 grand which I was, made no difference 2 grand or $500.00  he just upped it to $3800.00 and it was over with
