Brian, give us an update on your generator Installation. Is it quiet and stays cool?
Usually it's a mater of convenience,, if you remote it then you also need a remote fan to cool it.. If you use the generator mounted fan ( if it has one. ) then it's easier but can be noisy to ..>>>Dan
I was asking how Brian's install he had done in Las Vegas turned out.
He posted something about it like it had a annoying click that bother him
AAAAHHH,, My bad. Was reading one post and answering another and they got switched.>>>D
The generator is reasonably quiet other than the clicking that seems to be coming from the generator end. The clicking is really annoying outside the bus, but not too noticeable inside the bus. I have had a couple of projects with time deadlines since I got back, but I need to figure out what is causing the clicking.
The generator ran all three rooftop A/Cs just fine from Las Vegas to Phoenix. Generator stays right around 170 degrees.
That sounds real good, Brian. Three AC's., good too. How many KW's? Hope you can get the clicking figured out. Those little things can get annoying.
How was your mileage out and back? How many gph does the generator use?
Gary D
12.5KW. The mileage for the engine alone was 7.2 MPG for the entire trip per my Silverleaf. Not sure how much fuel the generator uses.
I didn't use the A/C on the way back after Flagstaff. It was actually quite cool on the way home. I ran the generator a couple of times on the way home so I could run my heat pump for heat.
