It has sat for 10 years. I freed the injectors. I put new batteries in. It started on the first try. It ran for about a minute, then died. It won't restart. I think it lost fuel prime. I'm just looking for more great advise.
Lost prime, or it shut itself off when air pressure climbed high enough to activate the fuel shut-off...
If the latter, it will start again tomorrow, or whenever all the air has leaked away.
If the former, you get to learn how to prime the beast, a skill that will likely be needed again in the future.
I like using a garden sprayer, with an adapter fitted to screw into an unused port on the fuel filter. With some luck, and good planning, it will gather dust down in the bay, waiting for the next time...

also check your fuel filters. Things could be growing in your fuel tank.

I used a mityvac (A hand operated brake bleeder) to pull fuel through the primary FF at the engine driven fuel pump. I got about a gallon out of it.
Then, while still pulling fuel from the suction line, I ran the pressure line from the mityvac to the pressure line coming off the engine driven pump, feeding the secondary FF.
I had that line going to a bucket at first to just pull some old fuel through. I hand pumped for about 15 minutes then filled the suction line off the engine driven pump with diesel coming from the primary FF.
I topped off power steering, and blower fans gear box. Checked the oil and hit the button she fired right up and stayed running, aired up, held oil pressure, and runs like she always did.
Now I need 2 tires (at least) RH side drive tires are both flat.
Just posting this because it may help someone else. I used cheap clear plastic line black rtv and rubber corks with a hole drilled through them to make my connections.
I did buy new FF's but thought I'd run a bunch of the old fuel through the old filters to catch the crap before installing the new ones. Thanks for all your help!!!
