Title: 1972 MCI 5B seats
Post by: Jsrcaptain on April 10, 2021, 06:25:02 PM
Looking to replace my crappy aftermarket driver's seat and add a co-pilot's seat. Do you know if the bolt pattern is a standard dimension? And any suggestions about suppliers.
Also wondering about seat belt installation. I'm not seeing belts attached to the seat. Floor and wall attachments?

Thanks!

I purchased a Bostrom air ride seat from a truck salvage yard. Bought their recover kit. Came with new foam, covers and longer armrest option. Bolt pattern at floor  does not match seat. Bought steel plate and made an adapter from it, due to the way the channels underneath run. Seat has attachments for seatbelts. And air supply under floor. Already have nice passenger seat.

If you search salvage yards there are some nice high back van seats out there most of them swivel and recline, I also bought a bostrom air ride pedestal and routed my air switch in the arm rest so I can adjust it easily while driving, My wife is an upholsterer which helps a great deal!! John.
