Im chasing a few leaks. Searching past threads has given me some good ideas for investigating them.
Curious on your thoughts about the leaking seam under the windows (pictured).
I'm thinking of removing the exterior trim, cleaning, sealing seam and replacing with new screws.

You need to go deeper than that the uprights,air bag supports and floor level supports are going to have quite a bit of rust behind the siding BTDT on a DL3

By upright, I assume you mean the framing. Most of that has some surface rust. One or two more significant spots in the ceiling.
A search of past conversations has me thinking leaking rivets.
Didn't find anything on my specific leak at the seam pictured.
I'm removing the floor by month end and will be inspecting those areas you mentioned.

After a discussion with my mechanic, we decided its best to remove the rub rail, seal the seam, and re-install the rub rail.
My research indicated that the body panels of the D series would show rust near the rails. Now I know why.
I suppose it is worse in the back because weight and vibration of the engine breaking the seal.
I will be cutting/grinding the lock rivets, removing the rail, sealing and replacing rivets while reinstalling.
Finding lots of leaks today thanks to the rain.
I'm wondering if this wet channel is from the screw holes holding on the rain gutter..
BTW...there is no seam behind the rub rail. The leaks below the windows are leaking windows. Imagine that.
