Where is a good place to tie into for the air horn, on an MC-9?
My wife just got me this for my birthday (oh yeah).
I might need an auxiliary tank for these puppies.
I hooked them to my compressor and battery charger, wow are they loud.
Wow!! Who made those beauties?
I tapped into a line in the spare tire compartment... pull your spare and crawl in... it will be right above you.
Others may have a better tie-in location, but that's the one I used.

Looks like TRAIN horns....
Maybe you wanna put a pull chain valve on that to "tweak" the authenticity a but...
I have a set waiting for me to pick up. Gonna make the old MC9 into " Old Number 9"
I have to look around now for a set of air trumpets off a fire truck or ambulance to make all the important noises...
There's a Harley around here somewhere with the train horns on it. I hear the guy's pipes then the horns occasionally.
Oopen the outside door under the drivers area, stick your head in and look up. You will see the accessory air tanlk (about 6-8" in diameter and about 12-14" long). There may be a couple extra threaded fittings with plugs in them. This is where we tied in our 2 pair of air horns. We have electric solenoid valves on these, but plan to use a ball valve when we add the train whistle for a morre realistic sound. Jack
where did you get those horns? how much were they? Hook up... if you have an air seat just tie into the air line

I have a set of air horns going in an auction on 4 May. The solid brass train whistle shown in the reference ($275). Brand new, I never got around to installing them on DML. Make me an offer I can't refuse and I will pull 'em.

BTW, 5% to go to MAK.
