what year did they go to independent suspension?
and what year did they offer 5 speed Allisons in conversion shells?
Late 1996 for the IFS a friend of mine Ty has the 1st ever built a 1996 model and 1994 for the B500 Allison and series 60 only engine offered then,I had a 1997 model I bought new with IFS from Vogue lol it almost broke the bank keeping the front end in shape
Didn't Ty have his up for sale not too long ago?

I think he still has it for sale
In the about 60,000 miles I've driven my transit, I've done nothing to the front end. Last year had the front end checked and it was perfect (a bit worn but still safe). Good Luck, TomC
Prevost got the IFS figured out in 2000 they don't have any problems now
My 1991 XL Mirage has a 5 speed Allison in it.

Yep but no overdrive yours will be HT Allison CR
The IFS is an option on late model Prevost cars, but a lot of charter operators do not get it because it is expensive. So they have the solid front axle, which rides like a wheel barrow empty. Not so bad loaded. The MCI J comes with a ZF IFS front end, which rides so, so nice. Much better than Prevost's, in my not so learned opinion. lol.
