Title: angle steering box
Post by: olebusman on August 13, 2020, 12:47:02 PM
Does anyone have or know of anyone that has a 1 to 1 angle steering box for a 4905 that has shepherd steering. I have been using my 4106 with a 1 1/2 angle for too many years and i'm tired of it. I want to replace the angle drive before its time to quit driving.

Like looking for a needle in a hay stack every 4905 parts bus I chase down the steering box is GONE

I too was thinking of changing our angle steering box to a 4905. When I put in Sheppard steering in our 4104 I put in a 4106 angle steering box.after 20 years of driving and taking all of our lane especially when it was windy.last fall before taking our winter trip from Maine to Florida,I decided to install the blue safety plus steering stabilizer. If I had known how much it would improve the handling i would have installed it 20 years ago.i can now relax and enjoy the trip, stays straight even when passed by trucks or wind was the best investment we made

You don't  need to change the box. The gears are drop in.

Sorry I missed that. He scrapped the steering wheel, column, and upper gear attached before I alerted him to save it. I'll  keep my eyes and ears open.

No, both gears are different teeth number.
