I'd like to put a slideout in an E or J4500. Who has done one or who would I talk to about the structural changes that would be needed on the chassis ?
Thanks
Some J's and E's had factory installed slides I am sure you can find drawing from MCI that were engineered to take the guess work out
Where would I find those drawings ?
Does anyone have an MCI with a slideout ?
You have so many questions about MCI's that could be answered in detail by getting the appropriate manuals from MCI. Get it straight from the horses mouth. The J4500 might be the best bet.
Jim H or Jim E (can't remember which) had an E He installed slideouts in if I remember correctly. They were well done too. Air activated.
Thank you !
I PM'd busguy01 (JimH) who mentions a 102EL with slides in his signature. He hasn't been active since 2017.
The problem with getting the MCI manuals is that, for something like this, you would need the VIN range. I have been all over the MCI manuals (they are all online) and have all of the manuals, schematics, etc. which apply to my bus. But, especially for less common models, you have to know the VIN range for that particular run to find the right set of docs.
Are they free to access online ? Where ?

Thank you.
Where are the wiring diagrams ?
If you look in the Schematics section, they are all there. Or, you can find them by going to the Driver's Reference Guides, and looking under Electrical.
I could not find schematics. Could you share a link ?

However, I'm not sure you can just jump to the link. You may have to get past the guest login part first.
Thank you.
MCI does a great job of providing documentation.
