Title: Finding a Multiplex maestro in the DFW area
Post by: ktmossman on June 15, 2020, 05:11:02 PM
What is the best way to find a MCI Multiplex maestro in the DFW area?  I have a problem I need solved (someone unplugged accessory cables without marking/labeling), but I also want someone who can spend a day educating me so I am less dependent in the future. I know there are local shops, but they want $$ for shop time and probably won't be into the educational aspect.

Did you try asking Mother?

I have met with interesting MCI tech people at trade shows, there are classes run for coach technicians, join in?

Ask what prep work you should be doing?
After all, where does a newbie tech fit in to getting started? Not much different than a busnut...?

Happy coaching!

After spending 12 hours trying to wire aux driving lights to my multiplex wired Isuzu chassis and getting no love from the mfg, I bought a very expensive dealer level scantool that included an excessively complete wiring and circuit diagram along with an all systems diagnostic and troubleshooting guide.  Within minutes of opening the pages I had my answer.  While taking a training class would have been fun, I'm way ahead time wise having bought the "home training" scantool.
