None of the truck repair places in town have them on the shelf?
Happy coaching!

Hi;
Also try Napa or carquest auto parts. Take another one with you for a "show and tell"
Good luck ;)
You should find one at Dorman Products or the Euclid (Meritor) site to compare
I would like to go to a local truck repair shop if they were open
thanks Dave I saved that site
it looks like they are a common part , I hope as my local parts jobber should have it if he is still working
thanks dave
Wasn't there a thread recently (past year?) about the quality of some of the lower priced wheel studs?

I got a notice from Ryder Fleet Parts they ceased operations because of the Chinese made junk they were getting from their suppliers,, cheap is not always good for wheel attaching hardware BTDT and I don't mine spending the 10 to 15 bucks for studs from Meritor
Great Hey Dave send Clifford the bill. He said he doesn't mind pay the higher price. ! Awesome you save too. :)
I noticed several inner nuts were loose when I took my wheels off, so I made sure they were properly torqued when I reinstalled them. Next time I removed them, I found more loose inner nuts.
I looked in the ALCOA manual ( https://www.alcoawheels.com/alcoawheels/catalog/pdf/2017_service_manual_english.pdf ) & found I had just under the minimum stud standout.
My solution was to replace the studs (Euclid # E-8979-R & E-8979-L), inner nuts (Euclid # E-5988-R & E-5988-L), & outer nuts (Euclid # E-5977-R & E-5977-L).
Now, the nuts torque up nicely and the inner nuts are still tight when the outer nuts are removed.

Bet Dave doesn't mind the higher price either for good studs and nuts, those Chinese studs when you install a nut the things kinda gall and seize when you take the nuts off again
thanks for trying to save me some money Dave . as much as I would like someone else to pay for them I will pay myself as it is on my coach and I do not believe in all this go fund me stuff . people need to clean up there own problems and learn to live with in there means
but thanks again for trying
I sent a email to my parts guy to see what he has and most times he likes the big guys for parts . as he puts it why not get the right part first . ( but this is the same guy that got me the new drums that I have been learning with )
the big problem is getting parts NOW ! with all the shut downs that are happening
dave
I know from my recent experience the Left hand thread version's part number is wa2001 at Napa. I'd assume if you tell them you want the right hand version of that they'll be able to help you out. They are a non stock part so unless you're lucky they'll have to order them in. They were somewhere around $2.50 each.
just reinstalled the drive wheels with all new studs and nuts like what is in the link and solved the problem with the new brake drums but they are for aluminum to steel wheels . not sure on the make or brand yet as I have not seen the bill yet but the price was not that bad and my parts guy did say they are a very good supplier . if that means anything ?
I ended up getting 11 right and 11 left so I now have a spare stud and nut for each side

Those are for Aluminum to Aluminum wheels but if the stars all line up in the universe I can see where they would work in your case .In Gary Hatts case the drums fit the studs there was no space around the studs and you could not tighten the steel wheel to the drum so we replace both the left and right side inner nuts fwiw he broke a wheel because those nuts were wrong for his application
the studs I put on were aluminum to steel studs and they fit fine with a small amount of space so they did not bottom out and did a nice job centering the drum . when I get the paper work I can get the parts #'s
dave
These drums nowadays where 1 drum fits the front, tag and drive axles on stud pilot wheels are a pain to deal with since stud pilot wheels and axles are becoming a thing of the past,I sure like my hub pilot wheels set up.I bought a new drum from Prevost that came with the metal spacers lol for a extra $22.00
how much was the drum ?

$422.38 with free shipping but had to pay sales tax because it shipped from CA

Here is a case when "more" is "less"
For the china stuff you pay less but get more(virus)
When it comes to bus parts and labor cheap is not always better
my guy that helps me do the big stuff is cheap at $50 an hour but he can drink a lot of beer in the time he is here and most evenings he is only here for 2 hrs or so but in that time he can do about 5 times what I can do but that is with my help . so in the end I plan a lot of repairs in that time as he never sits still
but if any one else wants to pay for the parts that would be nice but I do not be leave in that .
pay your own way in this fund me world we live in

That is the way to do it,take your time buy good parts and do it right and Fred I do give away a lot of parts to people that need help fwiw

Here a photo of the ones removed from Gary Hatt Eagle they were longer than the thickness of the steel wheel and would bottom out against the drum
