Wanted: 35' Custom Coach conversion. In order of preference,
1. MC-5 A or B
2. 4106
3. 4104
4. Flxible
Drive train issues no problem. Interior must be straight and not dogged out.
Thanks,
Mark
Just can't stay away from buses huh Mark? ;D
Maybe he wants to sample one of every kind of coach possible. Nothing wrong about that. :D
Due to garage size constraints I am limited to the above choices or be forced to rent which I don't want to do. Yeah, Ed it's in my DNA lol.
Don't see GM 4108 on your list - also a 35' bus. I know CC did at least one of them, since my bus is a CC 4108.
If it is YOUR garage, they can be lengthened.
There was a 35 ft Prevost for sale converted by Foretravel in Quartzsite those are top of the ladder conversion Mr Fore on did 4 of those
Has to be the models mentioned. Can not lengthen or raise the roof due to hip roof design of the garage. That leaves out Buffalos or anything over 10'6'. I had to raise the garage door header just to get my Silverside in. Max length 38'. Custom Coach in that era typically used Cruise Airs so no roof a/c or anything else on the roof.

Makes sense, if you have that kind of height restriction.
From what I've seen, most of the CC conversions used their own a/c systems. Actually much easier to work on than a Cruisair, since they used off-the-shelf components that can be found at most commercial refrigeration shops. They do look like a Cruisair, but are not. I think that on some of the later conversions they may have switched to the Cruisair, but all the ones I've seen used their own shop-built units.
There are CC buses out there. Call Tom at https://www.busesforsale.com/
He's a good guy that came recommended by Luke. I bought my 4108 from him, and he often has CC buses listed on his site.
If we raise bus roofs...
4 screw jacks, a sawzall, and up she goes to fit whatever you like...
Don't tell a bunch of busnuts "can't" ...
Happy coaching!

Ahh, looks like he would need five jack screws and then he would have to buy custom doors (grin)...
Rent jack posts. Cut studs and raise building. Buy another panel for overhead door, longer tracks. Btdt. If it is done to coaches, no problem on a building. Just brace well during modification.
Thanks for the beautiful picture of your Model 15, I did not realize you had a side door (if my eyes are not being deceived).
Jacking up the garage might not be something you want to take on, but I jacked mine up two feet with six jacks a couple years ago so I could have a 14' door. The main thing is to have some guide rails all around and cross braces to keep it square and on target. Don't do it on a windy day. :o
The post was about buses not how to rebuild a garage.

LOL Mark you ask the time and someone will tell you how to build a clock
Hey, you need to look beyond the obvious sometimes. Expand the thought process sometimes can be " why didn't I ever consider that "?.

I know Mark and we been friends for years believe me he has done the thought process over and over
Psychoanalysis is now part of the bus boards.
Always been here. Called free advice or suggestions.
I got a feeling that if it weren't for the bus boards a lot of us bus nuts would need psychoanalysts... ;)
Perhaps a Wanderlodge? I have a PT36 that I am very happy with. Well made, Auto, 6V92.
They are already converted and you will get lots of support fro the Wanderlodge Owners Group, 3000 members.
TOM
Thank you for the suggestion but not really interested in a BB. Afraid they would be too high also.
MCI MC 5C is 10'.08" without roof warts. ;)
Will use dump switches to drop the air.
Boomer, After five plus years fulltiming we just bought a house and our 4104 will be available next month. 8v71 with V730, excellent interior, new differential 10/19, new rear tires 4/19... Bus is in Delray Beach, Fl now.
Bob
Is it a Custom Coach with all the windows still in it? Thanks
Sorry, I realized after I replied that you were looking for a coach converted by Custom Coach. The forward windows are RV but the rest are in the bus covered.
You might try contacting Jay over at https://luxurycoachesforsale.com/
I believe he used to be connected with Custom Coach, and he often has leads to Custom Coach buses out there for sale.
You might also get in touch with Lance - he is on Bus Grease Monkey and currently has three Custom Coach buses.
Thanks, I look at his stuff. The CC A3 he has would be good for someone to reconvert. I just missed on the 5B from Toledo that was recently sold to Denver, it was exactly what I was looking for. Not too many of them out there.
