Where is the best place to camp in San Antonio, Texas? What are your favorite things to see and do? Where else do you recommend to go see between Texas and Georgia? Traveling in an MCI MC9
We were there 3 years ago with the bus. We found Hidden Valley RV Park on the South edge of the city. It is a farm. They turned part of it into a campground. The nicest hosts you ever met. Very hospitable.
Go down town. Across the street from the Alamo is the tourist info center. We bought a city tour there. Starting with the Alamo, then onto a bus to see the sights, including a couple of missions.
The River Walk is a must as well.
We loved Texas. We might go back this winter.

All the old German towns in the hill country are neat plus the beer is good
When are you going? They drain the river for annual cleaning right after new year's day. Not too pretty then. Last about a week.

Thanks to everyone who posted. We will be in San Antonio the week of Christmas. We will try to see everything you all mentioned. I am going to try to get reservations at Hidden Valley RV Park. Thanks again.
