Title: Well, it's official. we no longer own a bus...
Post by: RickB on October 24, 2019, 05:01:03 AM
Bittersweet...

Finally put the engine in I've always wanted. Put less than 50 miles on it and then our finances say we have to sell it.

Like everyone that has sold a bus in the last 5 years knows we lost our butt's on the sale price.

A really smart and cool young man named Josh bought it and now he and his family can start making memories in it.

I will miss the old girl for sure... But I'll really miss the amazing places she brought us to. 40 states, Glacier, Yellowstone, the black hills. It was an adventure for sure

I will miss each of you as well...

Take care of yourselves, listen to and respect luvrbus and the rest of the knowledgeable gang here and please for the love of God leave politics to the voting booth!!!

Take care my brothers. I have enjoyed our time together immensely and I leave this place a wiser and more caring man as a result of your influence in my life.

God Bless each of you in your travels...

Rick B signing off...

Door is always open!

Once a busnut...
that dumb stare and trickle of saliva running out of the corner of one's half open mouth as a coach drives by...
always a busnut.

Happy coaching!

I'm very sorry to hear all this. I have to ask (unless you are not even going to see if there are any replies...), what engine did you put in that was what you always wanted?

Sold ours 3 and 1/2 years ago and still check the boards to keep tabs on what our friends are up to.  Even throw my 2 cents in once in a while if i think it will help somebody figure out a problem.  :)

Hi Rick! Sorry to hear bout all of this, you worked your butt off to get your bus right. I hear ya on the finances, we hit rock bottom and had to sell ours also. Know that there is always brighter days ahead so chin up my friend! Stick around anyway and pop in once in a while, ya never know. All the best in your endeavors and starting a new chapter. ;)

There is life beyond the bus but the part I miss the most is the great people we met along the way.  We use our 5th wheel a lot but its not the same - we're just another square box in the park.

I believe that.  I get so many people that stop by when I pull into a park in my Eagle.  They are all intrigued by a bus conversion.  They want to know some details of the conversion and are always fascinated by the fact I did it myself.

Rick,  check in once and a while.  Hate to see you leave.
