I am back in the market for a 4106 deferential, the one I bought has a bad pinion. We are fulltimers living in our bus and are stuck in Illinois near St Louis.
Thank you
Bob
One is available in central Pa. , although it is a 4:27 ratio instead of 4:11. Did you try Luke in N.J?
Chessie, yes I tried Luke, is that the one at Bernhard Bus?
Whats the problem with a ring and pinion shaft??>>>Dan
Dan, nothing available.
I see no problem with cutting the nut off to press out the shaft,, the ring gear just bolts on to the carrier,,,,,,a whole lot easier and cheaper to ship than the whole differential.>>>Dan
Dan, I would if I could find the ring and pinion, any ideas?
No, Luke is not Bernhard bus. Luke@ U.S.Coach in Vineland New Jersey.
Chessie, sorry my last response was confusing. Yes I did talk to Luke and he cannot help. Is the differential that you know of in central Pa. at Bernhard Bus?
Have you tried calling Stan H. in Minnesota? PM me if you need the contact information.
Richard, Stan at Busboys?
I believe so. If you already contacted them I must have missed it, but they might have some suggestions.
No it is in central Pa. Still in rear axle of coach we are dismantling. That rear will lower your top and cruising speed about 4 to 5 mph.. the 4:11 ratio ones are getting scarce. They were standard on 4106, 4108 and optional in 4905.
Chessie, I guess that would be an option if I can't get the 4:11... Thank you.
I think I just won the lottery! Long story short a guy in the campground we are parked in knows our problem, he gives me the names of two truck parts/service businesses. First very happy to help but couldn't, second had an employee who's father was into old trucks and things. I gave him the part numbers I had and he came back with a match. This differential is brand new! $1995 plus $175 shipping. Sold! Neal's Truck Parts in Grand Rapids, Mi.
Thank you all for your help!

Great news! Glad to hear that you're making progress.
I hope it truly is an angle drive that has been quietly waiting for you.
Chessie, that is what they are calling it and part numbers match.
Glad to hear of your luck,, I'll call off the marines.>>>Dan
