Title: V730 spacer ring
Post by: Bill Gerrie on October 15, 2019, 06:58:35 PM
Does anyone have a 3 1/2" spacer ring for a V730 transmission they would sell?

Do you actually need it. They were for the vs2's. My V730 doesn't  use one.

They were used on both VS2 and V730 to make the trans clear the rear motor mount. If the motor was to be moved slightly toward the trans you could probably get away without one.

Guy from Canada offered to trade one with me for the 1 to 1 steering gear set from 4905. Trouble was, nephew junked the steering column with the one gear attached. Oh well...

What a shame. Do you still have the ring?

Still need the vs2-6 parts before starting on it. So far, only stuff is in Ca. Long drive.

When Bill Teal quit the conversion business,, he sold me all the parts for VS2s he had,, two pallet loads for the cost of shipping..

I ,, in turn,, sold my 4106 ten years ago to to a Westen GM Coach member and all parts went with it...

That being said,,Phil Shiveley and I were talking about this a month ago,, he sold the 06 and would like to move this stash of parts to someone that needs them..>>>Dan  ( Many folks converted to Bill's system over the years and really liked the way it performed,,,but that was many years ago.>>>)

Is there any way you could ask Phil if he has a spacer ring in the pile of stuff?
