Title: Coolant leak
Post by: Bob & Tracey on October 06, 2019, 07:01:19 AM
What am I looking at? It is leaking coolant and the cooling system is no longer pressurized. I am guessing it is a pressure relief valve?
Thank you
Bob

It is a manual relieve valve to open prior to opening the filler cap.>>>Dan

You might get lucky, take it out and try to clean the insides of it, the seat gets gummy crud on it and then seeps.

If the seat is scored, or otherwise damaged, it will need a replacement.

Add a short tube to that outlet so it doesn't dribble on your hand, this valve got used to release the pressure/test for coolant level, before opening the cap, on the service line.

Happy coaching!
