Can someone please post a few pics of their throttle linkage as attached to the valve cover
The throttle linkage typically is not attached to the valve cover. What exactly do you want?
I thought there was a bracket attached to the valve cover that the throttle cable/linkage was routed through. Held in place?
I would imagine that the reason you havent received pictures yet is because that area is on top of engine and requires some effort to supply, because of limited room between top of engine and engine compartment If it was a GMC, it would be easy, but many of those have air throttles . Even on the others, the throttle cable would probably be secured by the governor housing or a bracket attached to it
Many times the throttle cable is secured by a bracket that is attached to one of the blower bolts.
I was just looking at this the other day on my 89 8V92TA and the end point of the Throttle cable is attached to a bracket that is bolted to either the curb side valve cover or the engine in that area, I did not look close at the mounting point, was more focused on High idle plunger.
I am going to the Bus this evening and I can take a couple of pictures and post it for you of the Throttle cable mounting Bracket.
Peter
Yes please
Thank you
The Throttle cable mounting bracket was not bolted to the Valve cover, but on the top of the governor.
