Title: It was worth it, but I wouldn’t do it again
Post by: RickB on May 16, 2019, 03:49:16 PM
The power difference is way more profound than I thought it would be.
Looking forward to fixing a couple bugs but I'm super happy with the new power train. Voltage meter is flickering back and forth. Need to check my connections.
Thanks for all the guidance guys

Rick

I say the same thing about my one and only bus conversion.  I don't have the time or energy to do another one.  But what I have is exactly what I wanted.

BTW, Rick, I don't remember what the power upgrade was on your bus?

good for you for getting it done, and in very good time, too.  He did a MCI 8V-71N to a take out MCI 8V-92TA in a MC-9.  Big difference.

Way to go Rick!  So glad you are happy about the additional power.  I know the kind of grin it can give!  Go enjoy it!
