I replaced a broken cable on one of the Luggage bay doors last weekend.
When I got to the point of connecting the cable to the pantograph frame, while working alone, I found I could either stretch the cable or put in the pin that holds it, I could not do both at the same time.
After fighting with it using various methods for an hour I took a visit to my spare parts bin, using two conduit clamps, and a threaded rod I created a puller tool.
I cut one of the conduit clamps up the middle with the angle grinder to go over the cable and double nutted one end of the threaded rod.
Using my impact driver on the double nutted end and a wrench on the other end I was able to pull the cable easily into place, both sides were pinned in less than 5 minutes.
My question is what Homemade tools have you created to accomplish tasks that would be of Benefit other Busnuts?

Fabbed up these roof raise jacks, worked quite well for my roof raise.
Those jacks look great. Any chance you would share those if I do a roof raise? Of course I would pay for shipping.

Shoot me a PM
After the raise
I found this in the shop today as I was moving things about. I made it so I could use a steering wheel puller on my MC8. The hollow column has no where to push against and this solved the problem.
