Title: New gas OT
Post by: Ednj on April 27, 2006, 08:21:28 PM
I had to fill up my Harley tonight , and I had only gone 150 miles?
I always go at least 225miles before refilling?
So does any one else notice this or is it just me?
I think this new gas is just evaporating? ???

Did you get a tank of ethanol blend? Many stations are now pumping ethanol (actually 10% eth 90 gas) in an attempt to save a couple cents of margin. Here in Colorado the stations are required to pump the blend in the winter but many have stayed with it this spring.

Some cars don't like it and many will get worse mileage. But I wouldn't think it would drop that much  :o

Could it have been the E-85?  That might do it.

Hope this helps, Phil
