If you have any Sheppard steering box cores model M110PPX1 that fit a New Flyer bus, or know of anyone who may have one or more, I have a buyer who may pay up to $200 plus shipping to build up his inventory.
Please send me an email at Gary@BusConversions.com if you have any or know of any that may be available. We will do the rest.

I recently purchase a 1948 PD-3751 Silverside. It has manual steering and I am too old to use it. Can you help with some info on a Sheppard kit I could install? I would prefer hydraulic versus air.
Thanks

The best thing to do is call Mark at Straightline Steering in San Jose and ask him. He remanufactures these boxes all the time. He can be reached at 408-289-9850. He will be able to help you out.
Michael The only person that I know that puts power steering on a 3751 is Gene Russell.
Someone will give you his tel. number and address on here soon. Dan do you have it memorized.

Thanks for all the quick responses. Trying to get ready for the road this summer. Just bought this beauty last year and am excited about getting her on the road. I found 2 "Silversides" owners here in Ventura, Ca where I live. I have met one and left my number and card on the other. Looking forward to listening to some great stories. Will report back as this progresses.
Besides the steering I am going to rebuild the air compressor (Walkers Air Brakes - Ontario, Ca) and install a newer lighter starter. I have found the support I need for those small projects.
I will post some pictures of this and those projects.
