While checking the launch time of this Friday's Falcon 9 Iridium launch from Vandenburg (it's 7:31 AM for any SoCal folk who are interested), I noticed that SpaceX has now understood the innate quality and versatility of Gillig school buses. After Elon Musk put his Tesla Roadster into orbit, how long until a Gillig is also put into Low Earth Orbit? The proof is here: https://www.spacex.com/falcon9 - look at Fig.2 Composite Fairing and what's inside it. See, told you so. Us Crownaholics have always maintained that Gilligs are from Mars and Crowns are from Venus (and Carpenters are from Uranus . . .), so this proves that a Gillig is being readied for a journey to its ancestral home.
Ain't science wonderful?
Eat your heart out, Eagle owners, remember what happened to Icarus*.

* That's not the Hungarian Icarus that Crown had an illicit relationship with in the 1980s.
And I reckon the figure standing outside by the base must be the bus driver, wondering how the hell he's supposed to reach the front door
Jeremy
CROWNS FOREVER! :) (37317)

Looks more like an RTS to me ...

Excuse me, that is definitely a school bus, not an RTS.

When he and the bus are in LEO and have slipped the surly bonds of earth, he'll just float up* gently towards the door. Easy! Getting inside could be another challenge however: "Open the bus door, HAL". "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that".

* OK, I know that there's no Up or Down in space.
Well when they have tourism on the moon, they have to drive them around somehow right?
