Windy got a bill like that for his wife helicoptered as i remembered from just west of Cashe-Creek,CA to Vacaville, CA a few months ago.
Talked to Van the other day and he was telling me you tried to keep up with the Helicopter in the Safari, LOL  :)
Clifford do we have that on our FMCA or is it something you have to pay extra for?
Dave

Clifford,

You'll remember last September my wife had to medevac out, the eye-popping bill was over $60,000. Fortunately, the medical insurance was first in line as the policy states transportation to hospital is covered if medically necessary. There was zero argument about that and it was a long winding way out so air was called in. Your medical hopefully covers it, Good luck.

Yikes.  That's just wow... I'm trying to wrap my head around that. Is that what Trump is paying every time he flies?

Crazy what medical transport costs here.  In the UK one helicopter ambulance service operates two choppers for about $15,000 per day.  No charge for the users of the service.  (The doctors and paramedics are not included in the $15,000 per day.)  They do two to three flights per day so $6,000 to $7,000 per flight.

I was at an event this past Fall in Nevada where someone had to be sent on a life flight helicopter to the nearest burn center about 200 air miles away.  We were guessing at $25,000 for the helicopter.  We later heard the copter had to stop to refuel on the way as they had already flown 75 to 100 miles to get to the event.

At least the Current Pres has His own Golf Course and doesn't have to pay green fee's to play like that other guy that played every day.  8)

So, in the US they bill you $60K for the flight.  The insurance will only pay $40K, which they will accept.  The actual cost to fly the Helicopter with staff is $15K and the rest is price gouging profit.  Thats how it works here.

uhm, some of that (probably most) is added on to cover the costs of deadbeats who refuse to insure...because they never get sick or hurt or would rather pay a $100 penalty....

Calm down there big guy. I wasn't speaking from the left or the right just that Scott said was that what the President paid to fly down there. I was just saying it was our money that any president was using. And most Presidents have played golf so yep but at least he doesn't pay green fees, LOL :)
