Title: Oil Analysis - Recommended Vendors
Post by: ABart on November 11, 2018, 10:22:28 AM
Who do you all recommend for oil analysis with a good level of detail?  I am looking at a bus and think engine and transmission samples could identify potential issues.  While I am in Atlanta, it seems like a lot of these are done by mail.

Thank you.

I just buy the pre-paid test kits from John Deere or Cat, mail them in, and I get the results around 10 days.  I'm sure a heavy truck dealer does the same.

If you have a Speedco in your area stop and get a sample bottle pull the sample and they can give you results in a matter of minutes

I use Blackstone Lab, they are great to deal with and keep record of all your test.

I second the recommendation for Blackstone. Costs about $26. and they pay the postage.

I don't like to wait so I use Speedco now $20 to $25 bucks depending on the location,Blackstone and Cat have both screwed me up before with shipping but both are good labs, even Tom in Indiana is a good lab
