Where is the best place to sell a bus? I have a PD4107 with over $25,00.00 in new parts but blew the engine. Does anyone know of a bus graveyard that buys buses?

Call a local local big scrap yard. Expect to get about $1000 or less. More if scrap prices climb, if you are lucky. Post on Facebook or Craigslist with  several pictures. Someone may be looking for a 35 footer and has access to an engine.

Lots of people might be interested, don't scrap it too quickly!!!

For $99 we will list it on our Classified Ad page and Bus Conversions for Sale and run it in our magazine for up to 1 year.  Send me an email with the info in it.  Please do not scrap it until people have a chance to buy it.  Gary@BusConversions.com

Can you define "blew the engine"? Means a lot of different things to different people. Maybe post a few photos of the bus so we can help you figure out a next step.

There is a 4107 with a blown 8v71 engine not far from me I wonder if it is the same bus ?,they are not a bad looking little bus but the hump I don't care for on a 35 ft GM

My bus is a customized 1968 PD4107 located in Atlanta GA. The power steering pump bracket broke and a piece of the bracket dropped into the engine, chewing up the gears, causing engine failure. We have owned the bus since 1995.
Over the years we have replaced so many things. Records from the last 4 years show...new brake chambers & valves, rebuilt starter (plus an extra one!), rubber for doors, air bags, rebuilt Allison 730 transmission, engine blower, oil pump, engine mounts, reverse assembly, shocks, intake horn, Trane AC Compressor, toilet holding tank, 24' battery cables, PTO shaft, rear-end rebuild, battery trays, 6 NEW Sumitomo tires on 8.8.17, in addition to countless minor parts replaced-marker lights, aluminum trim etc, and meticulous preventative maintenance and typical repairs. Last month we bought a 1998 Prevost H3-45 and start the madness all over again!

A gear train failure would diffidently fall into a blown engine category and beyond  :o

True. But that bus is way more than graveyard junk.

Could be,when people move into the Prevost world with the series and B500 Allisons they just want the old buses gone.They decided the bus wasn't worth investing any more cash in or they would not upgraded to the H3 is the way I look at it lol that is quite a jump they made that will take some adjusting to drive those H3's are huge. I hate to see the little guy go to the scrap yard myself and I am not a GM fan

I really don't want to scrap "her". She has been a part of our "family" for almost 25 years. She had a great run...50 years. I wish someone would buy her and replace the engine. We had already replaced the engine once and felt it was time to get bigger as we use it for our family business of scuba training and trips. Yes the H3-45 is sooo big! but it drives very smooth.

I have access to a takeout engine and trans from a 4905 in central Pa. if someone is interested in resurrecting that coach.

It would be neat to install a 6v92TA 350 hp from a RTS or others in the little bus they can be had for reasonable price ,too far for me but Wildbob is sitting on top of it and he likes GM's
