Post by: siberyd on October 01, 2018, 11:45:11 AM
A company by the name of Awesome Diecast is coming out with 6 different color schemes in early next year.

There retail price is the kicker, about $29.00 each plus s & h.

Great news. We have been hoping for a 4104. Some friends and I helped Classic Metal Works with the 1/87 Scenicruisers. I hope that "Awesome" puts in similar efforts. Getting all the details right takes dedication. Correct livery, destination signs,  and appropriate fleet numbers are worth doing. From description, sounds like They are doing (among others) the 1957 "Scenicruiser Service" o4 livery, and the 1961 GH Anniversary "gold stripe" 04 livery. That's about the same price as CMWs. I was thrilled when I received a complimentary set of the CMW 4501s. They surprised me with using my fleet numbers (8149) and "Chicago" destination sign on one of the Gold-stripe versions. Maybe Awesome will do a "Minneapolis" destination for Stan Holter's 4104! Kids and their toys right !

1/43 looks a little out of place on my HO scale layout!  :)
