I had larger radiators installed in my MCI 5. When they did that they changed the overfill line. I think before it came from the reservoir tank above the gear box and now it is coming from one of the radiators. I have driven 2500 miles since and it has been pouring coolant when its warm. I topped it off and it took 12 gallons the other day. I think it is still running just to warm and I need to install a 3rd radiator? Any advise or experience I would appreciate. I have 6v92 with large injectors. Here is a picture of the temp gauge when I am driving.
Sounds like bad design, if it is dumping coolant to that degree.
Where is the overflow/resevoir tank in the system?
Temp gauge is meaningless without confirmation that really is the temperature.
Is the fan cavity "air tight"? Meaning the ONLY way for air to get to the fans is thru the radiators? No gaps around rads, seals on fan door in good shape and sealing against the door all the way around, corrosion holes in cavity patched, heavy rubber filler in the belt passageway to block as much space as is practical?
Happy coaching!

It sounds like the antifreeze is being pumped out the overfull line to the ground because the antifreeze isn't going through the rad without building up some pressure. You should put the line back to the overflow tank. The line they have put there is like a wide open hole so the antifreeze will pour out. The system builds a small amount of pressure when operating so it would be normal for some antifreeze to come out an open line. I assume the overflow tank has a cap on it with a pressure release if the pressure got too high. Is the overflow tank part of the cooling system or a separate overflow collection system? If it is already connected to the cooling system then I would just block the tube they put in. I have a line to the rad at a high point for getting the air out when the system is just filled and then you are supposed to block it off once the system is full.
Thank you that is what I wondered,
