Title: Info needed on a 870 Flxible

Is the 870 Flxible with a series 50 Detroit a V drive with a VR-731 Allision,I am searching for a V drive series 50 with a Allison I know the RTS used the setup.This is for a transplant to a 4905 so I need the complete bus and prefer the Allison over the ZF transmission you guys know of any super buys let me know

I only had 2 with VR731 's . Out of all the Phoenix buses..

There should be some buses of that era left with choice engines and transmission packages, but the heyday was 20-25 years ago when the transit agencies were selling them off.  Those buses went cheap, now it's a hard find.

All but two of the 870's I bought were s50-voiths, the 671ddecs were v730 's.. their head of maintenance said the 50's were hard on reverser's .   The tmc conversions and rts's were supposedly all VR-731's ... but was 17 to 22 years ago..
