Title: OBD port in a Prevost
Post by: RJ on September 18, 2018, 02:33:38 AM
All -

Was showing a fellow busnut at the NW BusNuts rally last weekend the Verizon HumX on-board WiFi unit that I have in my VW Jetta toad.

He was really intrigued, but wasn't sure where the OBD port is located in the driver's area of his 1992 Prevost XL conversion.

Anyone have an idea?

TIA,

RJ

Mine was in the outside compartment beside the driver, under the electrical panel.

On the 1999 h3-45, it is under dash on left side. A 6 pin connector end.

Early models up to 1997 out side access only on your knees

Different protocol I believe.  Also, we had a '93 H3-40 with a factory S60 and the plug was inside under the dash.

All the H's were inside left corner even the H-41 with the 11.1 series 60,that was terrible place they put the OBD plugs for the transmission and engine on the XL,you don't see many there now they have been moved over the years,Mark call me I have a guy wanting to buy some parts from you

It's really a mute point anyways if Humx doesn't make a interface cable for the DDEC protocol a 92 model it may not even be a electronic engine
