lol they did it again,I went to buy Freon on sale at my local Napa 5 bucks a can,the kicker CA wants $10.00 a can deposit plus they want you to buy the hose and valve CA requires now it never stops
Yeah, I think there is a time limit on the deposit too. I have a can sitting on the shelf that probably won't see that deposit back.
Once current supplies are gone, 12oz r134 cans will have to have a closable valve on them. And you cant buy any container over 3lbs without being 609 certified...fyi...we sell/sold a lot of 30lb ers....now we have 609 certification classes at least every quarter...20 bucks for testing

The 134 have a self closing valve now on the cans sold in CA,it is confusing you used to puncture the can with the valve and open it the Freon flowed not now if you open the valve all the way the flow stops unless you have the new valve they sell in CA.I don't use the top anyways I use the can holder with the piercing tool lol CA forgot about those
I looked at my cards and I'm 609 and "UNIVERSAL technician as required by 40 CFR part 82 subpart F"
Humm... I'm glad these are good forever.
You can buy 30 lbs from Sam's or Amazon
Y'all got my curiosity up and I dug through my wallet to see if I still had my IMACA (609) card and I do. I had to "restore" the shards with clear packing tape as it came out crisp as a restaurant saltine. Simpler times back then forty years ago---I actually allowed IMACA to use my SSI as my cert #. Nevertheless, it was a proud day when I passed their little test and was conferred the right to buy freon! Funny thing is that after that no one ever asked me to see my card. Oh well, it'll stay in my wallet along with my CCW and my EMT cert and a few other Hard To Get certs until it doesn't matter to me anymore. Jack
They are curbing the sell of Freon because the druggies have found a better use for it besides staying cool, a person would need to a total blank to use Freon to get a high. The 30# cylinders of Freon they use in the manufacture of Meth I was told by a police officer stupid people make it hard on the average person
Frankly, I think CA should ban all forms of freon and force residents to turn in all freon they possess, including that in their cars. I bet a bunch of hot people would finally pull their heads out of their nether regions and stop voting all the liberal idiots into office who keep passing these stupid laws.
Or maybe not...

Rut-RO Clifford,
Now we are going to have to report you to the Liberal Idiots police for the 134 violation of improperly using the incorrect piercing tools. You will have to put stickers on the side that displays proper use and piercing procedures as well as what clothes you should wear and an OASHA sticker stating that you will need fall protection while using this device in this way. goes without saying (But I will say it anyway)Steel toed shoes, safety goggles as well as long sleeve shirt with your name firmly attached to said pocket and of course a pocket protector. All harbor freight tools shall be dipped in rubber and a ground wire shall be affixed to them for lighting strikes. HTH your Californian friend :)
This will be forwarded to Jack and Gary Hatt director of all bad things we Californians are responsible for comity and all knowing community agrievance department.
Don't forget the life jacket, to protect against drowning.
Happy coaching!

Can't believe you forgot your hard hat...

The do come up with strange sh**,their pushing AZ to allow a CA police officer to stop a car on the AZ 95 for speeding and hold you till the AZ patrolman shows up to write you a ticket that not going over to well.I don't care what screw ball laws they pass in CA but trying push their laws off on other states is down right stupid IMO,they passed new laws at the rate of 3 per day in 2017
A couple of years ago, I bought a pack of bungee cords at Home Depot. There were some 13 caution warnings on the pack. I don't think that it was just California though. I mentioned this to a lawyer I know, and he said that you can bet that every one of those warnings was related to a specific lawsuit. After all, who would guess that a bungee cord could snap back at you!
Anyway, here are some other warnings: http://udel.edu/~pollack/Acct350/Handouts/Wacky%20Warning%20Labels.htm
I love the warning labels and signs CA makes Disneyland post, dumb a bag of peanuts contain nuts :o :o

Two blondes from Texas were on their way to Disneyland, they had saved and planned for a year, about a mile away they saw a sign, Disneyland Left. They cried, and then they went home. :)
While shopping for lumber with which to refresh my garage door I ran across yet another Prop 65 warning label-----" Saw dust is known by the State of Ca to cause cancer".
How about we just print up one sign stating that all things in Ca. cause cancer and let it go at that? But wait, that would put thousands of Ca. cancer cops out of work----can't have that. What's a guy to do? Jack

Unfortunately, there is far too much truth to the saying "As California goes, so does the rest of the states" or something to that effect.
Propane tanks have that type of valve for several years.
