Hi Everyone,
I am new to this.
I have a 88 MCI, 102. I have seen the articles and pictures of conversions, many have sign plates on the front with names that have been given to their bus, or just 'private coach'.
Where can you get these plates - signs made?
Thanks for your help
Joe D.
Hi Joe, which model 102, A, B, or C? One axle in the back or 2? lvmci...
I had my destination sign made at a local sign shop, its printed on thick plastic. If your mechanism is in tact, there are companies that will print custom scrolls so you can change what your destination sign reads.
Matt
Hi,
It is a 102 A. 2 axles. 39 foot coach almost 40.
Hi Matt,
I have covered up the scroll thing in the top. Guess I did not clarify very good. I mean below the windshield. Bus companies usually have the company name on a plate, or something like that.
Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks
You talking down on front where license plates go? You can order stuff like that on internet with custom lettering, design. If you live near bigger town, city, go to a sign or print shop.
If you are looking for "PRIVATE COACH" signs I have 2 of them. They are solid brass about 3" x 16" x 1/2"
You can have them for $40 plus shipping if you are interested. Email me at retiredbusnut@yahoo.com
I made these for our bus on our LASER engraver out of 1/4" acrylic. Any sign shop should be able to do the same. Process was to paint one side in black, cut the lettering on the painted side in reverse, then paint the lettering with white.
Joe, now i understand. The are cast Private Coach signs, or you can have ove engraved. A trophy shop should be able to engrave a brass plaque with anything you want.
Matt
Thank you all,
we do have sign shops near by.
Will check with them.
Join FMCA, they'll give you one for the front. Look on eBay for private coach signs to put on the front sides.

Your sign looks very neat and professional, and in very good taste. Custom Coach would be proud (if they were still around).
Thank you all - great help!
Joe
I made my own.
thank you Silver Sport - looks great
My lettering and graphic is a vinyl applique from the Fed ex store, it's been on for over 4 years in the LV heat, lvmci...
