Trying to get two slides for my bus and haven't been able to get any further response from Slide Master since June 25th, left vm msgs none returned after initial contact. Has anyone had experience with them good or bad. Even sent pictures of what I need, one for generator and one just basic for stuff.
They are quite easy to make using 2" channel iron, ball bearings and angle iron. If you can't weld, the cut up the angle iron and channel and take it to a welder to weld together. Material will probably be under $100.

I'm with that. Fab them yourself, seems quite basic, custom size, saves mucho dinero too.
Doesn't std channel have a chamfer on the inside?
Yes, it does which aids in smooth easy sliding as the bearing edge only rides on the channel.
Check out "How to build a Slideout for a Generator" by Fred Hobe in the September 2013 issue to learn all about building your own. Of course the size of the material will be determined by how big your generator is. All back issues are online for all subscribers to read 24/7.
There is also many slides available from Morryde, in case you dont wish to build your own.
