Am getting older and was not making to much progress,so gave up on my project and bought a converted liberty prevost. I plan on traveling all across Canada this summer and having lobster in Nova Scotia in august. At the pace I was moving along, they would be protected by the time I got there.
I would like to thank all the good bus nuts who helped me over the years on my conversion and may
see you when traveling.

Sometimes the smartest person is the one who realizes his limitations in time to do something about it.
Enjoy your Prevost. Maybe we'll cross paths as we're supposed to be heading to Nova Scotia this summer.

I know the feeling... :(...we gave up on our conversion and decided to buy a completed coach. Hopefully someone will buy ours and have the energy and creativity to finish it as it deserves.
But, even a completed coach will always need some work. I know.... ;).

Hello redbusnut,
Craig said it well....
You sound depressed as you told this story. Don't be! Instead, show us a picture of your new Prevost ans post it in our
bus pictures thread. You know your still welcome here.....
Happy Trails to you
Nick-
I was lucky in the fact I bout an already converted bus, yes I have made some changes and done some needed repairs, but I think, in my case, I am ahead. Would love to do one complete, but don't have the knowledge to do everything. My MCI 7 sure beats my old Kings Highway.

Hello rebusnut,
Glad to hear you are happy with your decsion.
I know converting a bus can get frustrating, I know, just ask me. I still plug on knowing that someday we will be able to enjoy it. There is a light at the end of the tunnel......I think.....
I agree with what Dallas said on another post, same situation somewhat, it is the journey not the destination that is worthwhile.
I have learned a lot since I started, have much more knowledge to gain.
Please post a picture of your new coach. I am sure everyone would enjoy seeing it. I enjoy looking at other coaches, it gives me ideas and a fresh perspective on our project.
Happy Trails,
Paul

We broke down and bought a converted bus to use while we work on our own conversion. We, too, wanted to enjoy a bus before we needed to add a wheelchair lift to it, ha ha, so we decided to go ahead and purchase the converted one to satisfy our immediate needs.
If it weren't for our strong desires to tailor one specifically to our own needs and wants, it would be SOOOO much cheaper to keep and use this one. If a person could find one that met their needs, boy, that's the smart way to go.

We have a 83 MCI-9 with a 6v92 4spd auto. Raised roof and new front and rear R&M caps.
It should turn up on the "Buses for Sale" section on this site.

Ok.... forgive me if this sounds stupid, but..... there's a buses for sale section to this site???
I've never seen it....where would one find it?

OK.... nevermind... I'm an idiot.... I was only looking in the forum. I found it..... :-[
Will be bringing home next week and a friend is coming over,so will get him to post some picture. My
previous project was a MCi 102A2. I haven't gave up a 100% on it. I just needed something I could use now to get my wife off my case.

Redbusnut, don't reckon you're in North Carolina (people from NC drive in Canada too, eh ;))? Saw pix of a nice Sawyer's conversion 102A2 shell last year that had a big slide. The bus and owner sorta dropped out of sight. Is that yours? Only A2 I've seen so far. I know others are around...often thought that I'd be a player for that Sawyer's A2 if it came on the market. It's good looking thing.
Cheers, JR
