is there a high temp velco tape to attach sun screens to the inside on the glass or is a better way .
We just hang net curtains now and that seems nice. We can see out yet it's hard to see in unless it's dark and there's a light on inside. We tried velcro on the inside with the reflective panels a few years back and it generated an enormous amount of heat between the glass and the panel. Then we tried velcro on the outside so the glass didn't over heat and that worked okay, but we didn't like the way it limited our visibility out the front (especially when driving :o). So net curtains it is with a solid curtain we pull around at night. HTH
Our bus came with a black vinyl curtain that hangs by snap fasteners. It was good for privacy, but acted like a heat sink in the sun and made things worse. I tried to make a replacement curtain from Reflectix, but the new snaps apparently are slightly different from the ones made 44 years ago and would not connect to the old mounts.
So now we just stand the Reflectix against the inside of the windshield. The visor and fan at the top and the defroster vents at the bottom seem to be enough to keep it in place, plus the Relfectix is pretty stiff if you orient it in the proper direction.
Of course, this is assuming you mean full-window sun screens. If you're talking about something that you can drive with then it won't work this way.
We also made Reflectix shades for when we're parked. They make a huge difference with heat and privacy. I wished they looked 20% less trashy, though.
For driving, I added about 12" of dark tint to the top of the windshield. I used the "cling" kind that's available at Home Depot. Huge difference.
I use Magne Shades. They go on the outside with magnets so you do not need a ladder. You can see out but you cannot see in and keep the temperature in the cockpit significantly cooler. Plus they look nice and protect your windshield. Check them out. https://magneshade.com/

They also make one for driver's side window, which is manually controlled. The front ones are electric.

I would be interested in getting the hardware to put some tinted pexiglass visors that flip down. Any leads? I have the pexiglass.

I all my windows tinted. 5% strip about 12-16" then I think its 25% the rest of the windshield and the sides I don't remember if its 15% or 5. It makes it so much more enjoyable driving and keeps it a lot cooler and love the privacy. All the side widows are 5%
The best way to use sunscreens is on the outside of the glass before the sun gets through the glass. The difference is like night & day. Darker colors work best! Go figure... Less radiant heat & keep in mind the sun isn't touching the glass directly. One A/C in the hot 100+ dessert is all this bus needs to maintain 80 degrees. Just the front & back covered for short periods (in the photos), on longer stays we have covers for every piece of glass not under an awning. Ironically it greatly benefits in the cold temps when bubble foil is used between the glass & the sunscreen (on the outside of the coach)..

I had dark brown sun screens on the front and first two side windows on the M C I . on the featherlite I went with a lighter colour and had my guy make it looser so I could slide in 2 pieces of 3/4 " foam pipe insulation between the screen and the window to keep the heat from the screen off the window
works great to keep the front cooler and is a good privacy screen during the day time

They're used to be an outfit from Fla. that traveled larger RV shows that made custom windshield covers with snaps a few years ago. They did them on site.

Yes, a dark surface under glass is a radiant collector and a convective heat distributor to the room behind the glass. If the screen is outside the glass, the heat stays outside the glass.
I have solar screens on every window of my bus. I used snaps on the last bus but they were a pain and some of them broke, so this time around I used the little twist lock fasteners can't remember what you call them. The screens stay on all the time. Only take the ones off the front window when travelling. Been on there for thousands of miles. I bought all the materials at home depot for around $200 and made them myself.

Well I guess a lot of the task is removing much of the heat thats absorbed.
Being on the move sure helps dissipate the heat some. The tinting we all realize nowadays is a great option.
Helping to address some of our stationary sit spells is something I can happily have an interest in. Staying Cool with a bit more shade.
So many of our mounting options are different. Windshield probably being the easiest in the term; not to many double or triple glazings.
Though to run the gamut of fastener styles we like, then the ones that can in reality use thats good and in short order, well I have to consider each coach or window and some quite differently.
This is going to get a bit higher on my interest scale for sure!

RV Toy Store is where we purchased our sun screens & tire/wheel covers from. It makes a world of difference when sitting for a spell. we don't pull them out nor put them on if its an overnight or a short stay.
Geoff, those electric sunscreens are pretty nice for driving into the sun. You can lower them just enough as needed to block it out. I like them much better than sun visors

Getting a replacement shield wasn't easy 15 years ago.

I stopped in at Rosen one time in Or they sold me a replacement for 30 bucks but had to wait till they cut and drilled the holes took about 30 minutes not a real large place then with 5 or 6 employees tops

I was in Texas.
They (then) were not selling to the public, and I did not have a dealer. But the squeaky wheel got the grease :)
