Title: PD4104
Post by: bigred on May 21, 2018, 06:55:42 AM
If any one is looking for a pd4104 , check RVT ad #8090765 .Looks like a good strait old bus but does have auto tranny and 6v92  which required that god awful appendage on the back, but a heck of a deal in New Mexico.

You would need to do a ton of work on that one it's been at my place before, the feature I like best was the 2 #6 wires twisted for a battery cable for the generator lol it doesn't have that anymore I made a cable. It does have a good strong 6v92 but has a couple of oil leaks that needed attention,it made the trip from Vegas to NM over the long grades on I 40 from my place to NM without a problem

Is "RVT" the same as RV Trader?  If so, you can't search for New Mexico, PD4104, or 8090765 (or at least I couldn't).  Thanks.  BH

Two different web sites . The way I look it up is just go to RVT .That should get you there ,then when it asks for type of RV ,I click on bus conversions .I like to check this site on occasion.Once in a while ,they have a "find"on there

Reduced $4300 in less than three weeks.  Smells a lot like pure desperation there ...

He also states that price is negotiable. Could be a consideration for someone that is considering a schoolie or wanting to get into a bus conversion. I wonder if he built that tailgate because he didn't realize that newer GM's have the valve cover protruding from the tailgate some. Notice the angled fuel filters.

The first owner passed away his wife sold the bus to a friend of mine that sold the bus,it is rough @ one time the bus had a DDEC 6v92 with a V731 it now has a leaking mechanical 6v92 with a V730

The reason I passed this on was that I figured it might make someone a good parts bus .As to whether it can be bought cheaply enough to make this happen ,I don't know .But evidently it has been sold .I looked on the web site and didn't see it .
