Stater acting up so replacing it - 1978 MC-8 8V71n.

Looks like 24v, CW, 11 teeth, 6-8 pitch, 3 bolts and at 30.8 lb, less than half the weight of OEM unit.
Remaining question - New or rebuilt?

New is better always,watch the knocks off 39MT sometime the nose is wrong stay with Delco it will cost a few bucks more,check with Blanchard Electric in WA sometimes they have good sales 1=800-234-2981

Thanks for the tip about fake parts. Blanchard had a fair price but found another reputable outfit offering new OEM units for a real steal. Will see if the real deal shows up. lol
