Looking for a replacment brush set for the front blower motor on an 84 Eagle 10.
Being located near Houston I would like to find this local if possible.

Thanks,

Somebody is probably going to clobber me for this but, I save my old starter brushes. If I need a brush that I can't get at the local rebuilder, I just cut an old one down to fit.

There is a lot more to brushes than just a piece of carbon.  Anything will work for a while but may damage the coomutator, I buy from a company whose only business is aftermarket brushes. When I go in with an old brush they want to know what it is out of, the  voltage, the current, AC or DC and intermittant or continuous. If it is not a stock item,  they go to the shelf, select a block of material and saw out the correct size, attach the lead wire and spring. I picked up two (1/4 x 1/2 x 1) this week for $5.50 Canadian each. When he brought them to the counter he had  more questions because he didn't have the exact same graphite percent as the original.
