If....my tires should be 80# psi cold, what would the pressure be warm?
Set them cold, then make a check of the pressure after fully warmed up after a trip of at least 30 minutes. The pressure you see will vary according to how hot the tire is-variable. That's why they spec. setting temp cold. Like setting valves on Detroit when cold.
Yes, I know that's the proper way. I won't be able to do that in this case. What I think I will do is check them hot and keep all the pressures at the highest hot temp until I can check them cold.
You are constantly driving and not letting it sit for 4 hours or more?
No, but it's going to be difficult for this first trip. I've got it close enough for now. I'll check later hot and see how even they are.
Tire charts call for 95 psi for my axle weights. I'm running the max on the sidewall (105) cold.
It allows for some air loss before tire damage - in theory . . . .
I found as a general rule of thumb that my tire pressure would go up by 10-12 percent.
And the side getting the sun will be higher than the other side.>>>D
yup I use the laser temp. gun most times I stop and yes the sunny side is 20 + deg f higher then the not in sun side

Hey, figured that all in. Thanks!
