Title: Yesterday was My Anniversary, Uh-Oh
Post by: Dallas on April 27, 2006, 07:25:51 AM
This isn't really bus related, except we took our 4103 to Myrtle Beach and back yesterday.
It was our anniversary. My wife woke up early, and said she was taking the day off.
She said, "Honey, let's unhook and go to the beach for our anniversary".
Then she said, "By the way, what did you get me"?
I told her I got her the same thing as last year, even in the same color and size.
She said something I couldn't quite understand, but it had some words in it like, "Sleep", "Fishes", "Fishbait", "Anchor".
I thought, WOW, we're gonna go deep sea fishing!
What a nice idea for a gift for me.
I made up my mind to give her two of the gifts I gave her the year before!
Well to make a long story short,
did have fishing in mind,
with me as bait!
What did I do??? I ask ya, what more could a wife ask than 2 brand new rolls of aluminum welding wire?
Oh, and heres' a picture of someone who seemed VERY interested in me!

Happy belated Anniversary Dallas...

Steve

PS... That's strange your wife didn't like her gifs, was it a good grade of welding wire, did you gift wrap it first...

;-)

Wrap it? it was already wrapped with celephane. Geez!
And I only buy the best for her. I bought the best ESAB .030 aluminum/alloy stuff. geez, it cost $10 for a 1# roll. She just doesn't understand.
I even used the argument that this lasted much longer than... well, you know.
And she still wasn't happy.
Darn women!

Dallas,

The Statistics page shows that youy spent more time on the board than you did with her! :D

Maybe you should get the third bus for her!! ???

You could twist up some of that wire and tell her its jewelry :D

Good luck and congrats!

Hi Dallas & Folks:

Dallas, Congrats to both of you!!!

If the Good Lord Wills, my wife & I will celebrate 37 years on May 27th. Then again it is after 8PM Eastern time, and I am here and she is at home????

I am a FAN of the old "slap stick comedy" and "vaudeville" and one of my favorites was and IS, Henny Youngman!!

He meets a friend and tells his friend that it is is Anniversary.  His friend asks: What did you get for your Wife.

Henny's response:  Nothing.

The friend asks, WHY NOT???

Henny responds:  She didn't use what I gave her last year!!!!

The friend asks: What did you get for her last year????

Henny Responds:  A Cemetary Plot!!!!!

A "LITTLE" Thursday Night evening Humor and I hope it does not Offend!!

Happy & SAFE Bussin' to ALL!!!!!

How to Stay Married

A man and woman had been married for more than 60 years.
They had shared everything.
They had talked about everything.
They had kept no secrets from each other except that the little old woman had a
shoebox in the top of her closet that she had cautioned her husband
never to open or ask her about.

For all of these years, he had never thought about the box,
but one day the little old woman got very sick and the doctor said
she would not recover.

In trying to sort out their affairs,
the little old man took down the shoebox and took it to his wife's bedside.
She agreed that it was time that he should know what was in the
box.

When he opened it, he found two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totalling $25,000.
He asked her about the contents. "When we were to be married," she said, "my grandmother told me the secret of a happy marriage was to never argue. She told me that if I ever got
angry with you, I should just keep quiet and crochet a doll."

The little old man was so moved; he had to fight back tears.
Only two precious dolls were in the box. She had only been angry
with him two times in all those years of living and loving.
He almost burst with happiness.
"Honey," he said, "that explains the doll,
but what about all of this money?
Where did it come from?"

"Oh," she said, "that's the money I made from selling all the other dolls."

JR,
Nope, This is our 6th.
I thought about getting her something shiney, you know, maybe a new set of Craftsman wrenches, or something useful like a step ladder, pail, soap and sponges.
I really did consider getting her a new fishing rod, although she likes mine, so maybe I could trade her out of the new one!
